Pat Hallowell died at her Auburn home on June 27, 2014.

She was born March 5, 1932, in Yakima, Wash. For many years she ran the Hallowell equine veterinary practice and Thoroughbred horse breeding operation. She did extensive volunteer work in the restoration of Victorian homes and landmark preservation.

She is survived by her husband, Dr. A. L. “Bud” Hallowell; daughter Lynn Hallowell; and one granddaughter. She was preceded in death by daughter Laurie Weiss.
