Paul Richard Selland, 65, died Feb. 25, 2019.

He was born June 23, 1953, in Seattle to John and Maxine (Ferguson) Selland. He grew up on Lake Sawyer, graduated from Kent-Meridian High School and earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington. He managed Cedar River Auto Parts in Maple Valley and also owned and operated Eatonville Auto Parts. He loved water skiing and snow skiing and last year was elected to the Covington City Council.

He is survived by stepson Brendan Brown of Kirkland; brother Robert Selland (Susan) of Wickenburg, Arizona; and sister Debra Selland of Poulsbo.
