Phillip Alfred Erickson Jr. died July 17, 2014, in Mt. Home, Idaho.
He was born March 6, 1951, in Chehalis, Wash., to Mary and Phillip Erickson Sr. He attended school in Black Diamond and Enumclaw and was a logger most of his life, working in Alaska, Oregon and Washington. He enjoyed sports and liked being outdoors, fishing, hunting for mushrooms and picking blackberries.
He is survived by sisters Florence Lulow and husband Stan of The Dalles, Ore., June Vines and husband Dave of Black Diamond, Serena Wood and husband Brad of Portland, Ore., and Martha Miller of Black Diamond; and brothers Clyde Erickson of Black Diamond and Dennis Boxx and wife Diana of Black Diamond.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Janice Kegley.
A celebration of his life will take place at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, at the Black Diamond Eagles Hall, followed by a potluck.
