Buckley resident Richard Freed died at his residence March 19, 2011. He was 87.
He was born July 29, 1923, in Seattle, to Oscar and Dorothy Freed. He was raised in the Seattle area and graduated from Issaquah High School. He served with the United States Army for two years.
On Jan. 11, 1957, he married Blanche Ann Perreault in the Seattle area. They lived in Issaquah for 54 years. He was employed as a general contractor.
Survivors include his wife Blanche of Buckley; children Celeste Bingham, of Salmon, Idaho, Rick Freed of Enumclaw, Christine Triplett of Olympia, Wash., and Jennifer Denison of Enumclaw; nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by granddaughter Rachel Freed.
Services are planned for 2 p.m. Thursday, March 24, at Flintofts Funeral Home, 540 E. Sunset Way, Issaquah. Viewing will precede the service from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. A reception will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to the American Heart Association.
