Enumclaw resident Richard M. “Rick” Larson Jr., 56, died Dec. 10, 2010.

He was born Aug. 2, 1953, in Minot, N.D. to Richard M. and Constance Larson. He graduated from Minot High School in 1972, attended Minot State University and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1972. He met and married Ann (Phillips) Larson on Feb. 21, 1986, and they lived in Minot before relocating to Renton in 1987. He owned and operated numerous repair shops, his last venture being a partner in Superior Automotive Service in Enumclaw. He enjoyed life, family and friends.

He is survived by wife Ann; daughters Rebecca of Tacoma and Kristen of Auburn; son Richard Merrill III of Enumclaw; and sisters Sandra Carns and husband Terry of Watford City, N.D., Sheryl Jordan of Fargo, N.D., Tammy Joubert and husband Ron of Minot, N.D., and Wendy Arndt of Fargo, N.D.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents and brother Terry. A service took place at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 17, at Weeks’ Enumclaw Funeral Home.
