Robert A. “Bob” Woodruff died at his home in Charlo, Mont., Sept. 6, 2012.
He was born May 20, 1930, in Enumclaw, one of four children born to Emily and Gary Woodruff. He married Delores Craig in 1948. A longtime dairyman, he also worked as a driver for Darigold for 17 years before moving in 1967 to Montana, where he started a dairy farm. He was a rodeo cowboy who ventured into the stock contracting business and was co-owner of four horses that ran in the Northwest circuit. He enjoyed horse racing and watched races nearly every day on television.
He is survived by wife Delores; children Rick Woodruff and wife Kathy and Connie Pierce and husband Leonard; sisters Shirley Call and husband Keith and Gloria Sherwood; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Services took place Sept. 16 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Ronan, Mont.
