Robert “Bob” Fisher Nearhood of Buckley died Nov. 2, 2018, at his home. He was 92.
He started working at the age of 17 for Western Farmers and stayed with the company until retirement. He drove a truck for some time and had more than a million miles of safe driving, for which he received a certificate. He also owned and operated a small family dairy farm. He was a member of the Buckley Eagles, where he and his wife would spend Wednesday nights dancing. He also was a member of the Teamsters. More than anything, he loved being home with his family.
He is survived by children Karen Woldt (Gary) of Tacoma, Kathie Soler (Leonard) of Buckley, Connie Jeter (Jerry) of Buckley, Keven Nearhood of Buckley and Kristi Crumpton of Tacoma as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Ruth LaVerne Nearhood and daughter Karla Nearhood.
