Rose Marie Krainick, 80, of Enumclaw died in her home on Oct. 30, 2019.
She was born Aug. 1, 1939, in Seattle to Joe and Cecelia Kahne. A lifelong Enumclaw resident, she graduated from Enumclaw High School in 1958. One year later, on her 20th birthday, she married Frederick Krainick at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Enumclaw.
She is remembered for the cookies she baked for family and friends, always making her hair appointment every Friday and her outings with the Gardenia Girls. She made many friends while bartending at the Krain and working at DeSanto’s Greenhouse. In her spare time, she could be found in her garden, tending her flowers or making sure the bird and squirrel feeders were full, and taking care of her many animals throughout the years. She also enjoyed relaxing in her chair outside her garage watching the world go by.
On Aug. 1 this year, she celebrated her 80th birthday and 60th wedding anniversary surrounded by many of her friends and family, a wish come true.
She is survived by her husband Frederick Krainick; daughters Marcia Hughs and Debbie Hitch (Don); four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A graveside service is planned for 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, at Evergreen Memorial Park in Enumclaw.
Donations may be made to Enumclaw Aid Car, 1330 Wells St., Enumclaw, 98022.
