Col. Rudy Peter Schuver, US Army, retired, died 8 August 2023 in Enumclaw, Washington, where resided for the last 18 years.

Rudy, the son of Joseph Conrad Schuver and Eleanore Christina Oberbroeckling, was born 19 October 1931, in Granville, Iowa.

He was a graduate of Iowa State University and Syracuse University. Rudy married Cora Winona Wessel in 1951. He is survived by his wife of 72 ½ years and nine children; 17 grandchildren; and 6 great- grandchildren.

Rudy served 24 years in the Army and, in retirement, owned his own real estate and insurance businesses, as well as a fine art frame shop. He was an avid nature lover and traveled the world photographing birds and nature. See more at www.weeksfuneralhomes.com.
