Orting resident Russell R. Thomas died Nov. 29, 2015.

He was born April 10, 1952, in Enumclaw to Raymond and Lois Thomas. He attended Enumclaw High School and served in the U.S. Navy from 1969 to 1971 during the Vietnam War. He was a welder by trade and loved trains and motorcycles.

He is survived by sisters Gail Bostwick of Enumclaw and Carolyn Harringa and husband Dan of Bellevue. He was preceded in death by his parents.

No services are planned. His urn will be placed at Tahoma National Cemetery.
