Surrounded and held by love, with her family at her side, Sue peacefully slipped away to her heavenly reward Sunday, Oct. 27 in Yakima, WA. Born Aug. 29, 1960 in Seattle, WA, Sue reflected tenacity of spirit, the determination to live normally and to thrive despite being born with cerebral palsy. She enjoyed people and made friends at every place and stage in her life. Sue had a natural and easy way of inspiring everyone. She developed her desire to be independent into reality and lived her life in just that way.
Sue’s early years were spent living with her family in Anchorage, AK. The family moved to Enumclaw as Sue grew into her teenage years. Graduating from Enumclaw High School with the class of 1980, her joy of this accomplishment made Sue and everyone who knew her proud and joyful.
Sue then attended Lutheran Bible Institute and also enjoyed many traveling adventures including to Brazil and Yellowstone. Sue’s faith was the most important thing to her and shined in her kind spirit and the gift of hope.
Sue is survived by her father and mother, Gordon and Karon Best (Yakima, WA), brother, Larry Best (Goldendale, WA), nephews, Larry J. Cuzick (Casper, WY), Elliott Best (Phoenix, AZ), Garrett Best (Joaquin, TX), and great nephews Gabe, James, Levi, John, and niece Brenda Jean, residing in Wyoming.
A Celebration of Life for Sue will be held Friday, Nov. 15 from 1:00 – 3:00 pm at the White House Café, 3602 Kern Rd, Yakima WA 98902. You may share your condolences with the family at www.keithandkeith.com.
