Sylvia Ann Hillberg, 66, died June 4, 2011, at her Enumclaw home following a brief battle with cancer.
She was born Oct. 20, 1942, in Auburn, Wash., to Milford F. Emsley and Rebecca Yates. Her interests included photography, bird watching and hunting for rocks. Her primary interest was making jewelry and she had been a featured artist at Arts Alive!, a juried artist at Art in the Garden and she had exhibits in City Hall. She was a food bank volunteer, a volunteer at More Pennies From Heaven and was past chairwoman of Enumclaw Toys for Tots.
She is survived by husband Lauri of Enumclaw; daughters Rae Ann Laubenstein and husband Karl of Lynnwood, Wash, and Becky Borrayo and husband Pedro of Seattle; son David Wilfong of Bonney Lake; sisters Wanda Munger and husband Don of Enumclaw and Jo Mawhorter and husband Gary of Tokeland, Wash.; brothers Tom of Wenatchee, Wash., and George and wife Fran of Cosmopolis, Wash.; stepson Bruce Hillberg of Geneseo, Ill.; stepdaughter Lynn Jencks and husband Joe of Evanston, Ill.; and three grandsons.
Her remains will be spread over the Pacific Ocean. At her request there will be no services.
