Longtime Wilkeson resident Alberta Marie Watkins died Sept. 4, 2011, at the age of 87.

She was born Aug. 8, 1924, in Twisp, Wash., had worked as a canner at the Farman’s pickle factory and was a member of the Teamsters union. She was an avid camper and loved to dance and play pool.

She is survived by sons Greg Watkins and wife Betty of Enumclaw, Barry Watkins and wife Renee of Sierra Vista, Ariz., Clay Watkins and wife Terry of Wilkeson and Albert Watkins of Enumclaw; daughters Wynne Oles and husband Jim of Wilkeson, Sheryl McLean and husband George Eicher of Sumner, Sam Johnstone of Bonney Lake and Tracy Hunt and husband Steven of Buckley; sisters Barb Hall of Renton and Lola Dean of Enumclaw; 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by husband Holland Watkins, a grandson and a granddaughter.

A memorial service will take place at a later date.
