William A. Monten died May 16, 2011, in Auburn at the age of 91.

He was born July 31, 1919, in Duluth, Minn., to Albin and Cecelia (Wyerwicki) Monten. A veteran of World War II, he worked as a dental technician, dairy farmer and truck driver for King County.

He is survived by his wife Joan; stepsons Randy Burke and wife Roxanne and Tim Burke; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

A celebration of his life is planned for 2 p.m. Saturday, June 25, at the family home.
