Wilson Herbert (Herb) Ogle died Aug. 4, 2012, in Oak Harbor, Wash.
He was born Aug. 5, 1912, in Del Rio, Wash., a community now covered by Lake Roosevelt. He lived in Enumclaw 66 years before moving to Whidbey Island in 2008. He spent most of his adult life working in the timber industry. He was named Bull of the Woods in 2002 by the Buckley Loggers Association. With his wife, Mildred, he loved fishing and camping. They owned a small boat and fished commercially for salmon at Westport for several years following his retirement.
He is survived by son Larry and wife Cheryl; five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by wife Mildred and daughter Yarnell.
A graveside memorial is planned for 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, at Enumclaw Evergreen Memorial Park, followed by a celebration of his life at The Four Seasons Restaurant in Enumclaw. Friends and family are invited to share stories.
