In response to the letter by Eugene Clegg, with his response to Larry Benson’s last letter: Well said, Mr. Clegg. I was so impressed with the last letter by Larry Benson, that I cut it out and kept it. He is so often so right-on and always well-spoken.

I fear for this country and what many (but not all) conservatives are doing to undermine our democracy. I too hope the prophecies of Carl Sagan and Larry Benson can be put in check and reversed. It is good to know that I am not the only resident of Enumclaw who feels like this. It seems there may actually be many of us.
