The week got off to a tough start for the Bonney Lake High School Panthers tennis team with a 3-2 loss Wednesday to Peninsula.
Both singles players rolled to victories for the Panthers, but the doubles teams all fell, throwing the match to the Seahawks.
First singles player Nate Monsrud cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 victory in his match while second singles Jordan Kurtz followed with a 6-1, 6-2 win in his.
In doubles play, however, the first doubles team of Brody Fitzsimmons and Brian Grob dropped their match 3-6, 2-6, second doubles Dominic Lieggi and Mitch Allen fell 2-6, 3-6 and the third doubles team of Adam Hunt and Ethan Nguyen lost 3-6, 3-6.
The Panthers next match is tonight, Thursday at home against White River.
