Bonney Lake High gymnast Kelsi Potterf placed fourth in all-around competition and Sumner High’s Lizbet Fernandez was seventh when their teams competed in a four-way meet Jan. 6 at Auburn Riverside.
Along with the host Rams, the meet also included Auburn Mountainview.
The Auburn schools took most of the honors and Riverside scored 164.9 points to take the team title. Auburn Mountainview was second with 154.7, Sumner finished third with 135.2 and Bonney Lake was close behind with 134.7.
To claim her No. 4 spot in the all-around, Potterf scored an 8.75 in the floor exercise, 8.4 on the beam, 7.8 in the vault and 6.7 on the bars. Fernandez had an 8.3 in the floor exercise, 8.1 on the beam, 7.8 in the vault and 6.2 on the bars.
Placing in the top eight in individual events were Potterf, who was fourth in the floor exercise, sixth in the beam and seventh in the vault; Fernandez, sixth in the floor exercise, tied for seventh in the vault and eighth in the team; Bonney Lake’s Kelsey Wells-Henderson, third in the vault, sixth in the bars and seventh in the beam; and Sumner’s Marissa Gregg and Aja Ruswick, fifth and tied for seventh in the vault, respectively.
