Bonney Lake High’s fastpitch softball team defeated Lakes High Tuesday, before being narrowly defeated by Enumclaw High Wednesday.
The 10-5 victory over Lakes came in a spread of runs, with the Panthers achieving runs in every inning but the fifth.
Bailey Ahem, Rendi Johnson, Kali Patterson and Kayla Wells all performed well at-bat.
Ahem achieved two hits and one run out of four at-bats.
Johnson achieved two hits, one run and a 2-RBI over five at-bats.
Patterson had three hits, one run and 3-RBI out of four at-bats.
Wells had three hits, a whopping four runs and 2-RBI out of five at-bats.
The scraping 10-9 loss to Enumclaw came as a seventh inning upset. The Panthers had frontloaded their nine runs in the first five innings, climbing six runs ahead of the Hornets. But the Hornets bounced back to achieve five runs in the top of the sixth, then cinched their W with two runs in the seventh.
Christian McKone had three hits, three runs and 1-RBI out of five at-bats. She stole two bases.
Patterson had three hits out of three at-bats, with 2-RBI. She hit a double and a triple.
Wells had three hits, one run and 2-RBI out of five at-bats.
On the pitching mound, Johnson pitched seven innings, allowing 11 hits and 10 runs. She struck out four opponents and walked one.
The Panthers play Enumclaw again tomorrow.
