The Bonney Lake Panthers shocked the No. 3 Lincoln Abes winning 35-28 in the first round of the state 3A football tournament.

The Panthers tied the Abes 21-21 in the third quarter and clinched the game on a late game interception.

Lincoln from the Narrows League, was undefeated going into the Friday game at Lincoln Bowl.

Bonney Lake will play Eastside Catholic in the semifinal round either Nov. 20-21. Field has not been decided.
