Bonney Lake High and Lakes High’s track and field boys and girls squads were part of a three-way meet at White River’s facility on a sunny Thursday, and while the Panther boys lost to White River 98-47, they managed to overwhelm a decent Lakes squad 89.5 to 55.5.
The Bonney Lake girls tied with White River at 75 points each and beat Lakes High 82-68 with the strong distance running of senior Veronica Stinnett, who won the 1,600 meter run beating her nearest competition by 25 seconds with a clocking of 5 minutes, 7.07 seconds. Stinnett also wound up finishing second in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:29.41.
