The White River Hornet boys basketball team beat Steilacoom 59-52 on the road Friday.
The Hornets lead the South Puget Sound League 2A. A battle of the first and second place teams, White River and Sumner will take the court at White River 7 p.m. Feb. 7.
The subdistrict tournament begins Feb. 11.
