The Enumclaw Wolverine junior cheerleading squad won the spirit award in the ninth annual Cascade Junior Football League cheerleading championships Saturday at Graham Kapowsin High School.

The Wolverine’s competition was themed as “old school rock” with music from the 1980s. Besides winning the spirit award, the Wolverines placed second in cheer.

Kayla Johnson graduates from the Wolverine cheer program this year after nine seasons. With six seasons under her belt, Taylor Schoon also leaves the program, as does Carissa Voelker, at two-year veteran.
