Sumner’s volleyball girls were defeated by Washington High 3-1 Thursday at an away game. The loss gives the Spartans a 1-1 record in South Puget Sound League 2A.

The individual Sumner-Washington game scores were 22-25, 25-18, 24-26, 22-25.

On the Spartan side, Kaetlyn Brown achieved 10 kills. Brittany Smith made 37 assists. Karissa Smith had nine kills and 21 digs.

The Patriots’ Brianna Glass had 4 kills and 22 assists. Tasi Peredo had 12 kills and nine digs. Taylor Story had 12 kills. Abby Evans had seven kills and three blocks.
