The Enumclaw High soccer crew is coming off a successful week that resulted in a pair of South Puget Sound League 3A victories.
The Hornets hosted the Peninsula Seahawks Friday and delivered a 2-0 shutout on the Southwood field. Evan Absolor and Austin Walsh scored for EHS while Demetri Anderson was solid in goal, keeping the visitors off the scoreboard.
The Hornets went on the road April 12 to pick up a 2-1 victory over the last-place Lakes Lancers.
All the scoring came in the second half. After Lakes jumped on top 1-0, Enumclaw bounced back to tie things on an Absolor goal. The game winner came 10 minutes later when Caleb Gwerder found the back of the net.
