EHS SWIM AND DIVE: Hornets race to three wins

Enumclaw High scored wins in every swim event Thursday to beat Clover Park 144-19, Washington 129-17 and Franklin Pierce 133-21.

Enumclaw High scored wins in every swim event Thursday to beat Clover Park 144-19, Washington 129-17 and Franklin Pierce 133-21.

The 200-yard medley relay team of Thomas Petersen, Bennon VanHoof, Gabe Sales and Will Cooper kicked it off in a district-qualifying finish of 1 minute, 49.59 seconds.

Braden Dedrick won the 200 freestyle in 2:16.20. Thomas Petersen won the 200 individual medley in 2:30.72 and the 100 backstroke in 1:02.42.

Cooper won the 50 free with a district time of 24.35 and the 500 freestyle with a district time of 5:26.07

David Kingman and Jesse Skipworth went 1-2 in diving.

VanHoof won the 100 butterfly with a district time of 1:01.09 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:03.01, a state time.

Zach Petersen won the 100 freestyle in 57.99. The 200 freestyle relay of Dedrick, Sam Horn, Zach Petersen and Sales won in 1:47.62.

The 400 freestyle relay finished first in 3:48.79.
