Kayla Bunderson, a three-year starter for the Enumclaw High girls soccer team, will be playing in the fall for Trinity Lutheran College.
After graduating from EHS in June with a 3.53 grade-point average, Bunderson took the recruiting process into her own hands and teamed with NCSA Athletic Recruiting. That led her to Trinity, a four-year institution founded in 1944 and operating out of downtown Everett, Wash.
Trinity sponsors both men’s and women’s teams in three intercollegiate sports: cross country, golf and soccer.
Trinity teams compete as members of the National Christian College Athletic Association, Division I, and occasionally play against other programs in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics and the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division II and Division III.
Trinity will play a 17-game schedule in the fall including opponents like Western Washington University, Southern Oregon, Rocky Mountain College, Menlo College, Pacific Lutheran University, College of Idaho and the University of Great Falls.
