The Enumclaw Junior Hornets Football organization is in full gear. The 2009 season began with a buzz with a kick-off mini-camp July 27, 28 and 29 in scorching weather. Official practice began Aug. 3 for the five teams, which include athletes from fourth through eighth grades. The season-opening jamboree took place Saturday at Mount Tahoma High School in Tacoma. The Junior Hornets’ first home game will be Saturday at Pete’s Pool against the Tacoma Panthers. A full schedule of Junior Hornets games and events can be found at www.jrhornetsfootball.com.
