It was a tough day for the Enumclaw High School girls water polo team as they hosted defending state champion Curtis at the Enumclaw Aquatic Center Tuesday, May 5. Curtis blasted the Hornets 19-4.
Against a swarming defense, Lindsay Bowden scored three points for the Hornets and teammate Kaitlyn Korsch knocked in another.
Megan Ernst and Carley Christianson slammed in four goals each for Curtis, while Kim Latschaw and Rachel Hays added three apiece.
The Hornets play travel to Auburn for a 5:30 p.m. match May 6 and host Gig Harbor at 4:30 p.m. May 7.
