Keenan Fagan scored three goals as Lake Tapps cruised to its 10th win of the season with a 9 – 8 boys high school lacrosse defeat of Skyline, Saturday at Pete’s Pool Stadium in Enumclaw.
After playing to a 2 – 2 tie in the first, Lake Tapps eased ahead with three goals in the second and four in the third to take a 9 – 7 lead going into the final quarter. Skyline’s defense took over in the final frame holding Tapps scoreless while the offense went to work. However, the Spartans managed only one goal to narrow the deficit to one goal before the final horn.
Michael Lucchesi and Joey Lucchesi each had a goal and two assists and combined for 10 ground balls to help drive the Tapps win.
Lake Tapps (10-2-0) next faces Woodinville (4-11-0), Tuesday, May 8 in an 8 p.m. start at Pete’s Pool Stadium in Woodinville. Skyline (11-6-0) next faces Lakeside (3-9-0), Tuesday, May 8 in a 6:30 p.m. start at Skyline High School in Sammamish.
