The Hornets played South Puget Sound League 3A-leading Peninsula High twice, beating the Seahawks 4-1 at home April 2 and losing an extra-inning battle on the road 5-4 Friday.
Enumclaw is now tied with Auburn Mountainview for second with a 5-3 record. Peninsula continues to sit atop the standings with a 6-1 record.
In the victory over Peninsula, Kevin Nelson picked up the win. Tyler Carlson put one over the fence going 3-3.
In the loss to Peninsula, Carlson knocked two home runs and Tyler Hoffman went two-for-three with a homer.
Between the Peninsula battles, the Hornets beat Lakes twice. The Hornets won 12-2 April 4 and 15-0 Thursday.
Bryce Peterson picked up the win April 4 and Shayne Sanborn was the winning pitcher Thursday.
Enumclaw is scheduled to play at Auburn Mountainview at 7 tonight, Wednesday.
