Bonney Lake High faced off against Enumclaw Jan. 20 and lost 112-71 to the Hornets, claiming three first-place finishes.
The Bonney Lake High boys lost three basketball games last week, but played a solid game against Clover Park at home Saturday.
After the Bonney Lake High wrestling squad fell 52-18 to defending 3A state title holder Enumclaw Jan. 21, making its South Puget Sound League 3A dual match record 3-3, it moved on to participate in the Tahoma Mat Classic.
Bonney Lake High gymnasts finished third in their Jan. 21 meet, posting their best team score of the season.
The last tournament of the regular season for the Enumclaw High wrestling team went well. The Hornets topped host East Valley, 43-27, North Central, 49-24, and Hanford, 72-6, Friday and Saturday at the East Valley High School Dream Duals competition in Spokane.
The Enumclaw High boy’s basketball squad outscored its duo of South Puget Sound League 3A opponents Bonney Lake and Sumner last week by a whopping imbalance of 135 to 60 and, in doing so, elevated its league mark to 9-1 to become the top dog in the SPSL 3A standings and keep its spot among the premiere Class 3A squads in the state.
The White River High girls kept their perfect season intact last weekend, notching a Friday night victory over Clover Park and a Saturday win against Auburn Mountainview.
