The Bonney Lake High girls picked up another big win before the snow shut down basketball games.
The Sumner High boys played an athletic Clover Park basketball team Dec. 16 at home as the Spartans lost 66-39.
In Enumclaw High’s solitary contest last week, Peninsula High braved the elements, made the trip to The Hive and wound up suffering its initial setback of the 2008-09 campaign at the hands of the red-hot, 4-0 Hornets.

The Sumner Spartan boys lost two South Puget Sound League 3A games and a nonleague contest last week.

The Sumner High School boys swim team outscored Auburn Mountainview 110-73 with several team members qualifying for districts.
The Bonney Lake Panthers have their biggest swim team in years, with nearly 40 athletes in the water, and are looking forward to a strong season, coach Jay Paulson said.
