The Bonney Lake baseball team defeated Mountain View High 8-7 Wednesday, in the second day of the West Central District III tournament.

Both teams opened the game with two runs in the first inning. Bonney Lake earned two in the fourth to Mountain View’s one, and the Panthers took three more in the fifth. Mountain View came back to take four in the sixth, tying up the game. The teams remained tied until the Panthers took one more run at the top of the tenth, and Mountain View failed to match.

The Panthers move on to the district semi-finals, playing Auburn Mountainview at Auburn Mountainview High School Saturday at 1 p.m. Win or lose, they will move on to their final game for one of the top four seeds on the same day, in the same place. Semi-final losers play for third and fourth seed at 4 p.m., and semi-final winners play for the first and second seed at 7 p.m.
