Bonney Lake High’s baseball team defeated Peninsula Tuesday night, 2-0.
The Panthers scored runs in the first and third innings with a startlingly low run-to-hit ratio of two to nine.
But it was more than enough to take out the Seahawks, with a luckless nil-to-six ratio.
Michael Gretler was the night’s star at-bat, with three hits and two runs out of four at-bats. Christian Parsons slammed two hits out of three at-bats, and hit one double.
Joey Gamache ruled the pitching mound with six innings pitched. He gave up six hits, no runs, and earned seven strikeouts.
The prior Monday night, the Panthers devastated Enumclaw High School in an 11-1 game at Enumclaw, with an exceptional run-to-hit ratio of 11 to 13.
Dylan Moran made three hits in as many at-bats, and earned two runs.
Nate Potterf pitched five innings. He allowed four hits and one run, and threw one walk, but he made up for it by throwing 10 Seahawk strikeouts.
The Panthers play Peninsula again tomorrow night.
