The Bonney Lake Panther girls are riding a four-game basketball win streak as league action begins following the holiday break.
Bonney Lake was scheduled to travel to Franklin Pierce Tuesday. Scores were not available.
The hot-shooting Panthers will host White River at 7 p.m. Friday. The Hornets are undefeated in the South Puget Sound League 3A with a 3-0 record. The Panthers have a 3-1 league record with their one loss to Enumclaw, which also has a 3-0 league record.
“I knew I was getting a great group of girls who want to work and play hard,” first-year coach Tom Ostrander said. “I’m very fortunate.”
The coach noted his team is a “very good outside shooting team,” which makes it difficult for opponents to pack the key and use a zone defense against the Panthers.
The Panthers played one game during the break, Dec. 30 at home, beating Bremerton 91-43.
Marcel Pounds dropped in 30 points to lead both teams and point guard Rochelle Murray hit for 22.
