Former Seattle Seahawk All Pro cornerback Marcus Trufant will sign autographs Sunday, March 2, at the Quarter Chute Café adjacent to Emerald Downs.
Appearing on behalf of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Washington/Alaska Chapter, Trufant will appear from 9:30-10:30 a.m. For a $5 donation, fans can get autographed pictures of the former Seahawks star, and $1 raffle tickets will be sold for special Seahawks prizes.
A Tacoma native, Trufant starred in three sports at Wilson High School and was a four-year starter at cornerback for Washington State, including first-team All Pac-10 on the 2002 team that played Oklahoma in the Rose Bowl. Selected No. 11 overall by the Seahawks in 2003, Trufant starred for nine seasons with the Seahawks, playing on the 2006 Super Bowl team and was an All Pro selection in 2007.
The Quarter Chute Café is located at 2828 Emerald Downs Dr., Auburn. Open to the public, the Quarter Chute is connected to the backstretch and affords patrons a view of morning training.
