The Sumner High girls soccer squad accumulated two more victories last week, beating Washington 8-0 Oct. 19 before slipping past Fife 3-2 Thursday, to wrap up the South Puget Sound League 2A championship.
Kaylie Rozell scored three goals against Washington and was also credited with three assists.
Taking on Fife at home, Rozell legged an unassisted rocket into the back of the Trojan net to snap a 2-2 tie in the game’s 43rd minute and give the Spartans the win.
The victory elevated the Spartans’ South Puget Sound League 2A record to 11-1.
The Spartans played at Steilacoom Tuesday and will host Franklin Pierce at Sunset Stadium Thursday.
