The undefeated Spartans were scheduled to close out the regular season Tuesday with Steilacoom and at Fife Thursday. Coach Dana Powers planned to honor the team’s senior swimmers at the Tuesday meet.

The Sumner High 200-yard medley relays finished 1-2. The A team of Alicia Ditty, Ashley Huynh, Madison Munger and Sami Hendricks bettered its state time with a 1.58.18. The B relay of Jamey Morey, Katie Eske, Lizzie Kressler and McKenna Roberts.

In the 200 freestyle, Kallan Gustafson placed second. Elizabeth Martin was third.

The Spartans swept the 200 individual medley with Munger topping her state-qualifying time with a 2.19.34, followed by Ditty and Kressler respectively.

Hendricks won the 50 and 100 freestyles, improving her 100 state qualifying time with a 54.79.

Diver Kailea Ole placed second.

Munger and Thompson finished 1-2 in the 100 butterfly.

Gustafson was second in the 500 freestyle.

The SHS 200 freestyle relay of Munger, Huynh, Thompson and Hendricks won with the relay of Martin, Roberts, Kressler and Gustafson finishing third.

Ditty and Thompson went 1-2 in the 100 backstroke.

Spartans swept the 100 breaststroke with Huynh, Martin and Ekse respectively.

The 400 freestyle relay of Gustafson, Ditty, Martin and Thompson was first with a 4.13.55. Parks, Easterly, Ekse and Morey placed third.
