After not losing a set in two matches a couple of weeks ago, Sumner High’s volleyball squad showed its inconsistent side by reversing that trend.
The Spartans did not win a single set as they hosted league-leading and undefeated 8-0 Fife, losing 25-17, 29-27, 25-22. Two days later, the Spartans traveled to Washington High to lock horns with the Patriots and dropped three straight again 25-21, 25-15 and 25-20.
Although it didn’t surrender its third place rung on the South Puget Sound League 2A ladder, Sumner fell to 5-5 in SPSL 2A action.
