The Sumner High volleyball contingent batted .1000, defeating Clover Park 25-6, 25-14 and 25-8 and taking Franklin Pierce 25-18, 25-9 and 25-13.

The victories raised Sumner’s record to 2-2 in South Puget Sound League 3A play.

In the two drubbings, senior setter Kailey Smith had a combined 55 assists, Sidney Erickson had 21 kills and Jessica Vandergeissen had a half dozen blocks.

The Spartans took on Peninsula High Monday; results came too late to report here but will be posted at www.courierherald.com. Tonight, Wednesday, Sumner hosts White River. Sumner plays its final game of the regular season when it travels to Bonney Lake Monday.
