Sumner’s boys wrestling team came in 18th at the 2011-ending All-SPSL wrestling tournament Dec. 29 and 30. They finished with an overall team score of 69.

The tourney pitted varsity wrestlers from all South Puget Sound League schools—1A, 2A, 3A and 4A alike—against each other in a 31-way two-day free-for-all.

Markus Forhan (126), Jeremy Jackson (132) and AJ Atoigue (152) all cracked the Top Eight of their divisions.

Atoigue took fourth place. Forhan and Jackson each took eighth.

The Spartans take on Fife High School for a Sumner High School home duel Thursday at 7 p.m.
