Bonney Lake High swimmers were in too deep Thursday when they lined up against Enumclaw, falling 136-32 to the Hornets in the Sumner High pool.
Panthers failed to pick up any first-place finishes in the dozen events, but several are threatening to equal qualifying times for the West-Central District meet.
Junior Nathan Scott finished third in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2 minutes, 14.39 seconds.
He also posted a third-place time in the 500 freestyle with a time of 6:23.61, and was part of the 400 freestyle relay which finished third in 4:33.41.
The Panthers’ 200 freestyle relay was also third with a time of 1:50.06.
Thursday brings in-district competition, as the Panthers will square off against the Sumner Spartans. Action gets under way at 3:30 p.m. at the pool in Sumner.
