Bonney Lake High competed in the West Central District 3A championships Nov. 4 and 5 at Hazen High. Top Panther finishers were:
200 yard medley relay – Jesse Johnson, Ashley Yandt, Emily Romano and Janae Charbonneau, ninth.
200 individual medley – Ashley Yandt, 12th
400 freestyle relay – Jesse Johnson, Sarah Suchower, Emily Romano and Janae Charbonneau, 12th
The 400 freestyle relay shaved nearly five seconds off its preliminary time in the consolation finals.
Senior Sarah Suchower earned district scholar athlete honors for her 4.0 grade-point average. Scholar Athletes are seniors participating on the team with an accumulative gpa of 3.75 or higher.
