The Panthers found the winning formula at the right time this season and are now riding a five-game win streak including a 44-20 drubbing of Mercer Island in the 3A District Tournament Saturday at Sunset Chev Stadium.
Bonney Lake started its winning run Oct. 10 against Decatur.
The next challenge for the Panthers comes against Peninsula in the first round of state. Time and date of the game has not been released.
The only loss in the South Puget Sound League 3A was to Peninsula 56-28 Oct. 10.
In the game Saturday running back Robert Combs torched Mercer Island for four rushing touchdowns – a 76 yard, 32 yard, 10 yard and 42 yard.
The Panthers other scores were Ethan McElderry on a 1-yard and 52-yard runs. Kicker Tyler John hit a 27-yard field goal.
Bonney Lake scored seven in the first period and 14 in the second to take a 21-14 advantage into the locker room.
The Panthers sealed the win with an explosive 17 point third quarter and added a final six in fourth.
