The Sumner Spartans  fastpitch team split the week with a loss and a win.

Friday the girls played a nonleague game against the Enumclaw Hornets losing 12-0.

Allie Sims took the loss for Sumner and Enumclaw’s Chloe Young was the winning pitcher.

Sumner beat Spanaway Lake March 11 11-0 on the road.

Sims was the winning pitcher notching eight strikeouts.

At the plate Jessica Peterson went 4-4 with six RBIs and a double.

Amanda Hanes hit 2-4 with a double.

Sumner’s record in 1-3 overall.

The Spartans are scheduled to play a 4 p.m. game Thursday at Clover Park, a nonleague game.
