Sumner and Bonney Lake high school athletes will be well represented Friday at the West Central District track and field championships at Mount Tahoma High in Tacoma.
They qualified Thursday and Saturday during subdistrict competition that brought together schools from the South Puget Sound League 3A and Western Cascade Conference.
The top six finishers in each subdistrict event earned a trip to Mount Tahoma and the WCD meet. The qualifiers are:
Bonney Lake girls
First place: Veronica Stinnett, 800 meters, 1,600 meters. Adara Winder, shot put.
Second place: The 1,600-meter relay team of L. Cannon, Kober, Stinnett and Howick. Howick, long jump.
Third place: Kimber Kober, 100-meter hurdles. The 400-meter relay team of H. Cannon, Howick, Kober and L. Cannon.
Fifth place: Winder, discus.
Sixth place: Taylor Howick, 400 meters. Marie Wilson, 3,200 meters.
Bonney Lake boys
First place: Brandon Baumchen, 800 meters. Jordin Andrade, 300-meter hurdles.
Third place: Josh Zahnow, high jump.
Fourth place: 1,600-meter relay team of Andrade, Reed Hawkins, Krizak and Baumchen. Haylie Cannon, 300-meter hurdles. The 400-meter relay team of Cannon, Howick, Kober and Leslie Cannon.
Sixth place: Brandon Barnett, 400 meters. 400-meter relay team of Andrade, Taylor Foster, John Krizaka nd Hunter Colegrove.
Sumner girls
First place: Ashlee Sincraugh, 400 meters. The 1,600-meter relay team of LeDominces, Gabby DeGoede, Bulzomi and Tessa Hansen.
Second place: Sincraugh, 200 meters. Michaela Trulson, pole vault.
Third place: Samantha Andrada, pole vault. Leia Fecteau, triple jump.
Fourth place: Lauren Bulzomi, 400 meters. Jessica Vandergiessen, high jump, triple jump.
Fifth place: Bulzomi, 100 meters. Leah DeDominces, 400 meters. Kayla Roberts, shot put. Kaylee Holloway, 100-meter hurdles. The 800-meter relay team of Leah Engelhardt, Tyeanne Lubking, Megan McDaniel and Kaylee Holloway.
Sumner boys
First place: Alex Griffith, discus. Seth Rodriquez, javelin.
Second place: Griffith, shot put. Kevin Johnson, pole vault.
