The Sumner High soccer squad’s overall mark fell to 1-3-1 when the Spartans suffered a 1-0 blanking at Lakes High Thursday.
The Lancers recorded the game’s solitary goal in the 69th minute of the defensive affair. Sumner launched a handful of frontal assaults on the Lancers’ goal box, but could not capitalize on any, as the young Spartan’s scoring drought continued.
Sumner hosts Auburn Riverside at 7 p.m. Monday, before a South Puget Sound League 3A encounter with Enumclaw, which will take place at 7 p.m. Wednesday, on the turf of Sunset Chev Stadium.
