Game two
We turned it into a spring training game. Five pitchers split up the game on the bump. Klapperich one inning, Cole Richey two innings, Dylan Sutherland two innings, Braden Fjeld one inning and Mason Harris one inning. We lost 5-2 however all 14 kids played, we got lots of looks at new people joining the varsity team this season.
Webster had 3-3 with a walk, single, double and triple. Hunter Ford picked up two more hits.
“It was nice to play two games and a bonus picking up a win vs East Valley, but we are all not satisfied with our execution. We did some things that are uncharacteristic of our program, lots of walks by our pitchers (four) but more importantly we were pitching behind in counts most of the day. Also, we made a lot of physical and mental errors…6 errors on defense in the two games, missed signs, poor decisions on offense and defense.”
“We are confident that come May 5 (last regular season game of the year) we will be a better team than we are right now. Looking for some growth”
