The White River High boys picked up a victory in their first South Puget Sound League 2A contest of the year, beating River Ridge Friday night.
The 1-0 triumph came on the Hornets’ home turf.
The game’s lone goal came in the 38th minute off the foot of Alex Armstrong, assisted by Hayden Grimm.
Getting the shutout in goal was Tyler Williams, who is now just three shutouts shy of the school record.
White River’s next contest comes Tuesday, at home, against a tough Fife team.
